EXETER TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT (ETSD)

Taxing Jurisdiction Comprised of Exeter Township and the Borough of St. Lawrence

The School District taxes collected by the Borough's Tax Collector include General Real Estate Taxes and the Per Capita Tax of $10.00.
The Exeter School Board sets the Real Estate Tax millage rate by late June for the July tax bill. All tax bills are due by December 31st., bills not paid are exonerated and turned over to the School District for delinquent tax collection.

Real Estate Taxes: 3 Payment Installment Plan Available

THE FIRST INSTALLMENT PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 31st OR WILL BE RETURNED BY THE TAX COLLECTOR.
Installment Payment due dates: July 31st, September 15th and November 30th.
If the 2nd and/or 3rd installment payments are late, there is a late payment charge of 10%
2nd Payment must be made before the 3rd payment
Installments not paid by December 31st are exonerated and turned over to the School District for delinquent tax collection.

Per Capita Taxes

A Per Capita Tax is a flat rate local tax payable annually by all adults (18 years of age or older), who reside within a taxing jurisdiction.
The basis of this tax is residency, not employment or property ownership.
The Per Capita Tax (blue bill) is not a real estate tax. DO NOT SEND TO YOUR MORTGAGE COMPANY.
Tax Period ends May 31st and turned over to the School District for delinquent tax collection.

Delinquent Taxes and the Tax Collector

The Tax Collector is exonerated (relieved of the duty) for the collection of real estate taxes, for all taxing jurisdictions, as of December 31st, each year. The School District Per Capita Taxes closeout on May 31st each year. The taxing jurisdiction appoints the Collection Agency for each type of delinquent taxes.
