 Lower Alsace Volunteer Ambulance Association provides both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) service to the Borough of St. Lawrence.   In 2024, the Borough Council instituted a 0.5 mil Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Tax that is included on your County/Borough Real Estate Tax Bill.

All legal residents of the Borough are considered PREMIUM members and are afforded all the rights and privileges of a Premium subscription member.  Premium membership includes:

-Emergency ambulance treatment and transportation to a Berks County hospital for services deemed "medically necessary" by your insurance provider.  No out of pocket cost is incurred for "medically necessary" transportation.

- Charges for up to (6) SIX non=transport emergency incidents are waived for the calendar year.
